One benefit of working with Hanson Steel Buildings is our expertise in providing buildings that comply with relevant planning permission by Local Authorities. We can also offer advice to all customers about the planning process.
Below you can find a basic guide of what to consider when purchasing a steel building.
These rules apply to garages, sheds, workshops as well as other ancillary garden buildings.
These buildings are considered to be permitted development, not needing planning permission, subject to the following limits and conditions:
*The term “original house” means the house as it was first built or as it stood on 1 July 1948 (if it was built before that date). Although you may not have built an extension to the house, a previous owner may have done so.
Please Note: The above rules do not apply to Listed Buildings or National Heritage Sites, please visit www.planningportal.co.uk for further information.
